Oh yeah, didn’t we find a new Saber after killing a Booma earlier? Maybe we should equip it!

To equip an item, start off by opening your Item Pack and selecting the Equip menu.

Phantasy Star Online - Forest - A HUcast accesses the Equip menu

You will see your currently equipped items and what slots they’re in. You have a slot for a weapon, an armor, a shield, and your mag. Sometimes, you’ll have extra slots for units when you’re wearing an armor that has extra slots built in. Units are items that can boost your stats or provide other benefits.

Right now, we’re going to select our weapon slot.

You will then be given a list of weapons that you can put into that slot, based on what you’re carrying in your inventory.

You can also compare statistics of the old item vs. what you’re replacing it with.

Weapons and armor that are green in color mean they’re slightly modified from the normal white version.

Hm, that’s strange, though. This green Saber doesn’t appear to be any different than the white Saber we have on. The statistics look the same!

Oh! But, wait! If we cycle through the other pages of weapon data using the arrow keys, we can see the new weapon has a 5% boost to Native. Different enemies have different attributes, so attacking enemies with the Native attribute, while using the new Saber, will deal an additional 5% damage to them.

Confirm your selection by hitting Enter or confirm on your gamepad.
