Attacking Enemies: Three Hit Combo

Combat in this game is real-time and arcade-like.
For weapons, you have a Normal attack, a Hard attack, and for some weapons, a Special attack.
Most weapons have a 3 button combo in which your character will perform different attack animations to string together a combination of hits on a foe.
Timing during this combo is crucial. Failing to time your attacks properly will result in the combination ending early and the attack string starting over.
You can usually alternate between Normal and Hard attacks doing a 3 button combo, but be warned. Executing a Hard attack does do more damage to an enemy, but it also has a higher chance to miss. If your character is lacking in ATA, you will see a “Miss” appear over your foe, giving them a clear shot at your face.
